The 9th Annual Randy Roede Memorial Coyote Calling Contest was held Dec. 13, 2025. We registered 28 teams. 19 teams weighed in 94 coyotes.
Since 2017, the Roede contest has harvested 598 coyotes!
1st PLACE | Rocky Longbrake and Terry Russell came out on top once again with 10 coyotes and a weight of 277.24 pounds!! They will be paid out $1275.00.
2nd PLACE | Hayden Thiry and Perry Hempel took second place with 9 coyotes and a total weight of 275.95 pounds. They will be paid out just over $796.25.
3rd PLACE | Matt Neisen and Todd Barnes took third place – with 8 coyotes and a total weight of 260.14 pounds. Every pound and ounce counts for the money! They will be paid out $637.50.
4th PLACE | Todd and Brooke Jacquot – a husband and wife team from Onida – took home fourth place with 8 coyotes and a weight of 242.8 pounds. They will be paid out just over $477.75.
LITTLE DOG | Todd and Brooke Jacquot won the little dog side pot of $552.50 with a coyote weighing 21.07 pounds. Brooke also shot a double!! Way to go you two, proud of how hard you hunt together.
BIG DOG | Dakota Longbrake and Oren Lesmeister won the big dog side pot of $552.50 with a coyote weighing 47.65 pounds. They also had another dog weigh 42.20 pounds!!
